Athens Drywall Pros was founded in 2009 by Tom Whitfield, a lifelong Athens-area resident who saw a gap in the local market for a drywall contractor that combined craftsmanship with the kind of communication and reliability homeowners and builders actually deserve. Fifteen-plus years later, that mission hasn't changed.
Tom started in drywall at 19, working summer jobs hanging board for production builders in north Georgia. By the time he founded Athens Drywall Pros, he had over a decade of hands-on experience hanging, taping, finishing, and managing crews. Today he still walks every significant project personally and runs every estimate himself.
